Blessed with “a quality of talent that could have opera geeks swooning,” (Shakespearances) Shakespeare Opera Theatre is pleased to kick off our eighth season with a journey to Bavaria in Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel. SOT presents the beloved children’s tale in operatic form in a lighthearted performance for all ages! Celebrate the holiday season with us and bring the whole familyto experience this classic. Munch on Bavarian treats like soft pretzels with sweet mustard and apple butter, charcuterie and cheese, Black Forest cupcakes, and authentic strudel and stollen before and during the show! Running time approximately one hour and thirty minutes, including one intermission. Presented in English translation. House opens for food and atmosphere 45 minutes before showtime.
